Verizon’s given the official word on the 4G LTE update for the Motorola Xoom and posted the update details and changelog information. There’s more stuffed packed into the device now, even excluding the 4G LTE radio added inside the slate.
One of the major is the Honeycomb update. The Xoom 4G gets upgraded to Android 3.2.1 Honeycomb build version HLK75D. You get an updated Android Market with that.
After that OTA, the Android Market shortcut on your homescreen will be having a better performance. Also, the Android Market app auto updates itself and if you are an avid reader, then you did be pleased to note that your Android Books app is also updated.
The update also does away with that irksome message you get while toggling between the Airplane Mode. Then there are, as usual, the bug fixes included in the update.
There are also reports of the web browser getting speeded up and some security related things. The 4G/3G connectivity seems to be running perfectly.
So Motorola and Verizon has had a good update rolled out, and if you are a Xoom owner, tell us about the new features.
