The wait for the Asus Eee Pad Slider is drawing to a close. A media event in New York brought in the news that the tablet will hit the US soil by the month’s end.
The Asus Eee Pad Slider packs a 10-inch IPS display with a screen resolution of 1280×800 pixels. We heard that the device will be rolling out with Android 3.2 nestled inside.
The tablet along with the keyboard doesn’t appear bulky and weighs only 2.2 pounds and measures half an inch thick. It is compact considering the keyboard built into it.
Lifting the display will give you a view of the keyboard and pushing it forward will flatten the screen. Don’t you go pushing the display up or down, or you will end up with the screen in one hand and the keyboard in the other!
Though the keyboard is smaller than the one you find on the Eee Pad Transformer, it is pretty comfortable to type with. The space bar gets some ample space though the border isn’t as broad as you would hope for.
The 16GB version will be seen with a price of $475, which incidentally is the starting price. If you want a little more memory space, you have got to chip in an extra hundred bucks for the 32 GB.
