Rumors are pointing at the possibility of a new device form the Moto stables. Likely to be either a tablet or a smart phone with the Motorola branding, the grapevine drops hints on the name, which looks interesting.
The company is said to have bought some new domain names for the upcoming device. Among the domain names being discussed are MotorolaKore.com. This is just one among the many variations centered on the name Kore. Folks at Fusible found five new domains – MotorolaKore.com, KoreMotorola.com, Moto-Kore.com, MotoKore.com, and Motorola-Kore.com registered by Motorola Mobility a few days ago.
The domain names make us believe that the new device could have the Kore nomenclature when it actually arrives. With Motorola Xoom stumbling after a gracious debut thanks to issues such as upgrade to support Verizon’s 4G LTE network, missing hardware supports and the like, we tend to think that the company might bethinking on the lines of a smaller 4G LTE tablet in the coming months.
We hope Kore could be the device on the radar. No word is out on the specifications as yet, but we need to expect a 7-inch or 8.9-inch display taking into account the competition it could face when it comes.
All said, there exists a possibility that the domain name could have been purchased for a smartphone. However, thinking deeper into that, we guess a tablet successor to the Xoom could be more likely.
We also feel that the device might be Motorola’s first ‘Android Ice Cream Sandwich’ tablet. So stay geared up for late 2012 to see the device. Tell us your take on this.
