Waiting to catch the first WP7 Mango phone coming your way? Then that would be the Fujitsu IS12T.
Not a pretty name to be fond of, but nevertheless, it will most probably be the first Mango phone to reach customers. The Japanese carrier, KDDI, has the responsibility of carrying the handsets.
The carrier is known for their out-of-the-box handset designs and this time they are planning on giving out brightly coloured handsets from Fujitsu. The official announcement regarding the launch was made in Japan.
The IS12T is quite tough as its pretty. The device is dust and water resistant, so you don’t have to worry your heart out if the phone’s exposed to the elements.
The phone’s got a 13.2 Megapixel camera in the rear and weighs 113g. The weight is considerably lighter and can be compared, in weight, to the Samsung Galaxy S2, which is currently the lightest Android Phone in the market.
A Qualcomm MSM8655 Processor is present to power the device and it’s also got an Internet Explorer 9 rendering engine (GPU Accelerated).
The screen is 3.7″ with a resolution of 800×480. Other features include the NFC and DLNA media sharing support.
Customers will get the device in any of the three colours: Citrus, Magenta, Black. Quite a vivid product for KDDI, don’t you think?
We have seen iPhones and Android come and rule the shelves and we have seen some Windows phones in the park too. Now its time to wait and see how the Mango will fare among customers.
