We know all you gaming freaks have been waiting for this. Nintendo has said that it is cutting prices of the DSi and DSi XL video game systems. The price cuts will come into effect on September 12, and that date being just a few days away we guess we will see some added interest at the Nintendo counters. While the new suggested retail price of the Nintendo DSi system will be $149.99 that of the Nintendo DSi XL system will be $169.99.
Nintendo has, however, decided to keep the price of the DS Lite model at $129.99.
Among the best-selling video game systems in the US and also in the global scene, the new prices could be seen by gamers as good value for their money. Further, Nintendo believes that the Nintendo DSi prices could prove to offer easier access to the wide ranging variety of games, applications and social tools on the Nintendo DSi and Nintendo DSi XL systems.
According to Nintendo’s press release that announces the price cuts, the Nintendo DSi and Nintendo DSi XL systems offer consumers access to more than 1,300 packaged games and more than 200 downloadable games.
The two systems come with built-in cameras, photo and sound-manipulation software et al, which thereby provide for an added social experience.
Further still, gamers will also be able to wirelessly upload photos on to Facebook with the touch of a button if they are connected on to wireless broadband Internet. What do you think of these price cuts?
