To begin with, this is a rather disappointing story from Apple. We hear the launch of the LTE-enabled iPhone 4S smartphone in 2011 will most likely be delayed. The problems concerning the yield rates of LTE chips offered by Qualcomm is stated as the reason for the delay.
In the meantime, China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicorn – the top three telecom carriers in China – have expressed their interest to sell iPhone 4S in the China market. We have also stumbled upon news that China Mobile is expected to reach an agreement with Apple to sell the iPhone 4S smartphones in China this September. This is to satisfy the large subscriber base the telecom carrier has.
Considering the prevailing condition, it’s only advisable to expect the iPhone model in 2012. The industry had also long been cynical about the launch of the LTE iPhone in 2011 as the implementation of LTE networks has not yet seen enough growth required to promote the device.
