When it comes to pocket digicams, it is Canon which emerges as the clear leader (Sony take no offense) with its PowerShot series doing well in particular. The latest addition to the famed series is the S95 digital camera which is also the direct successor to the S90 compact offering.
Talk about novelty here and the S95 is offering an in-camera High Dynamic Range (HDR) scene for the very first time in a Canon compact digicam. Add to this the presence of the Hybrid IS image stabilization technology on the S95 and this sure is a scorcher of an offering in a minuscule package.
The spec sheet for this one includes a 10MP sensor, a 3.8x optical zoom lens with f/2.0. 28mm wide angle and optical image stabilization, and a 3-inch LCD display. Price $399.
