We have already heard of the upcoming batch of 10-inch tablets from Dell. If you remember, the tablet roadmap of the manufacturer had earlier stated that one device will hold Intel and Windows under the hood, whereas another device in the tablet range will feature ARM and Android. Now we have the latest roadmap leaked, and out in the open are the names and other notable specifications of the devices.
Okay let’s come to that directly. Dell Streak Pro, which runs Android 3.0 Honeycomb and has got a display of 10″ with 1280 x 800, was considered to be the Dell Streak 10 when first shown. We suppose the device has now undergone a change in name, but is apparently sticking on to the brand name of Streak.
The device will come equipped with Nvidia Tegra 2 running at 1GHz, Dell Stage 1.5 UI, Enterprise application stack, two microphones as well as offers support for two video chat. As per the earlier leaked roadmap, stylus or active digitizer “handwriting” update could be expected by the end of the year. The Streak Pro will hit the stores by mid-June.
The Dell Latitude ST is the newly confirmed name for the device that was shown codenamed as Gallo in the earlier leaked roadmap of the company. This Windows 7 running device is expected to get a Windows 8 update son after launch.
The 10-inch tablet with 1366 x 768 resolution features Intel Oak Trail Atom Z760 (1.5GHz) processor and specs include 3MP rear and 1.3MP front cameras as well as dual digitizer to support both touch and stylus. Latitude ST will get released in October, this year.
