This is for those who were waiting for some discount on the Samsung Galaxy Tab. Sprint and Verizon Wireless have both dropped the price of the Samsung Galaxy Tab. The device is now offered for$199.99 with a two-year contract. The slashing of the prices will make the CDMA network the cheapest in the US.

Sprint originally launched the Galaxy Tab for $399.99, before dropping the price by $100 in January. Verizon Wireless had the device up for sale for $499.99 without a contract.

At the same time, T-Mobile USA offers the device for $249.99, while AT&T offers the device for $549.99 – off contract.

The Galaxy Tab comes packed with many exquisite features. It runs the Android 2.2 (Froyo) tablet with a 7-inch display, TFT capacitive screen features WSVGA resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels.

It includes the Samsung TouchWiz UI upgrade, which enables applications from the Android Market which is a key feature lacking on other Android tablets as well as Samsung’s Apps store.

It is speculated that the discount provided now has been launched with an intention to clear Galaxy Tab stock ahead of the new range of Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablets that are expected over the coming weeks.
