Ever since the Apple iPad 2 was released, interest has been on a high. If you are among those who haven’t yet got to convince yourself about going for the tablet, here’s something you would like to know. And, this piece of information concerns the original first generation iPad. We know most of you don’t have the iPad as yet, let alone the second generation device.
Carrier AT&T is now luring iPad lovers to their stores with an amazing discount. If you would want to get your hands on the device, think about this. The carrier is now offering the 16GB model for $429 and the 32GB and 64GB models for $529. If you let go of this, chances are that you may regret later!
As you all know, AT&T had dropped the price of the iPad 3G for around $300 less than its original price. Just in time for the launch of the iPad 2, AT&T had been offering the iPad 3G 16GB, 32GB and 64GB models at $629, $729 and $829 respectively. The latest cut makes the first generation tablet even more affordable.
It seems like the device is selling like hot cakes, with Sunday statistics showing that only the 16GB and 64GB models are available via the AT&T online store. It needs to be noted that AT&T is continuing to stay head and shoulders above the rivals with its monopoly position when it comes to the original iPad 3G. As you would remember, the device was more or less designed with the AT&T network in sight.
So, when you buy the discounted iPad, you will also required to purchase a data plan on the carrier. AT&T offers a 250MB plan for $14.99 a month, while the 2GB plan costs $25 a month – the first month comes totally free too!
