Lady Gaga on camera, yet again! No, this isn’t any celebrity news stuff we are reporting at the moment. If you didn’t know as yet, Lady Gaga is Polaroid’s creative director and the two have now collaborated to bring to the market a new line of products co-designed with Lady Gaga. To be called Polaroid Grey Label, the new line complete with Lady Gaga’s artistic vision, has in the pack the GL10 Instant Mobile Printer, GL30 Instant Digital Camera and the GL20 Camera Glasses.
Lady Gaga has infused her vision love of fashion, technology and obsession with the future into her work with Polaroid and the result is the new range. Tipped by the company as a new look at how to turn images into a fashion statement, the first trio of Polaroid Grey Label products are currently on show at CES.
The GL10 Instant Mobile Printer brings with it advanced technology that incorporates an embedded dye-crystal ZINK Zero Ink Technology from ZINK Imaging, the Patented ZINK Paper has been described as an advanced composite material with cyan, yellow, and magenta dye crystals embedded inside.
The GL10 Instant Mobile Printer puts heat to play so as to activate and colorize the crystals that are embedded in the photographic paper.
Polaroid has said that ZINK’s thermal technology brings about prints that are protected by a smudge-proof, water-resistant coating. The company will bring on the GL10 Instant Mobile Printer on retail during May this year for a price of $149.99.
GL30 Instant Digital Camera, the second product, also uses next generation ZINK Zero Ink Technology from ZINK Imaging. It comes promising the benefits of a digital camera, instant photo printer and digital display.
The camera resembles the old generation Polaroid cameras, and it also lets users to pick from a number of filters and borders to create quality images. Polaroid plans to bring it on this year itself. We will have to wait to know what is on the pricing front.
Meanwhile, the GL20 Camera Glasses would let users instantly capture and upload photos with a built-in camera and also display images on the glasses’ LCD screens. A fashion statement by all means, the GL20 Camera Glasses will also arrive later this year on retail for an undisclosed price.
