With CES just a week away we are seeing a lot of rumors rising around. Now we hear that the Motorola Cliq 2 smartphone and the Dell Streak 7 tablet are most likely heading to T-Mobile USA.
Motorola Cliq 2 is the successor of the Motorola Cliq (the first Android handset from Motorola) and the predecessor of the Motorola Droid. The images of the device are now out on the internet and have appeared on Cellphonesignal.com. The device is also known as Begonia.
We expect the device to be showcased at the CES and it is likely to go on for sale in the markets from January 19th. Although the carrier has not officially confirmed the reports, we are expecting an announcement in a short time.
This smartphone is crafted with a keyboard, a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash on the back and the design of the keyboard indicates the next Google OS, the Android Honeycomb, probably on the board although it is not confirmed.
Connectivity option list integrated GPS, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, and WiFi b/g/n connectivity. Rumors also suggest the support for Wi-Fi calling and the device will also feature new MOTOBLUR widgets.
As T-Mobile is said to focus on HSPA+ in the coming year, we can expect this device to be the first HSPA+ handset from Motorola. We are also expecting the Dell Streak 7 tablet on the carrier as they had announced that it will launch some HSPA+ tablets in 2011.
A T-Mobile roadmap had revealed in last February that the Dell Streak will be hitting the carrier in 2011 and with CES just around the corner we expect the tablet to be unveiled at there. It is expected to be based on the Google Android 2.2 Froyo platform and will come with a front-facing camera that enables video chat and a rear one equipped with a flash.
