Microsoft Thinking About An Application Store For Windows Mobile 7, Offering Cash in the Bid

For any mobile operating system to be a success today, an application store is a key and there cannot be a better example than the Cupertino giant Apple.

Microsoft may be enjoying Apple’s recent market slump beacuse of the Apple iPhone 4 signal issues, but the tech behemoth understands that Apple (despite these issues) is a giant, courtesy of that app store.

Microsoft needs to make a beginning in the application segment and it could usher the process with the advent of Windows Mobile 7 in December this year.

MSFT even has a trick up its sleeve to boost the mobile app development, and it intends to offer free development kits, SDKs and even some investment to get the developers interested.

It is clear that MSFT needs to act quickly as not just Apple, even the likes of Nokia and Blackberry are treading fast to set up their app bases.
