The 2014 Asia Cup is the 12th edition of the Asia Cup ODI cricket tournament and will be host by Bangladesh. It is for the second consecutive time that tournament is being held in Bangladesh.
The tournament begins on February 25, 2014 and runs through March 8, 2014. The five teams participating in the Asia Cup 2014 are India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Bangladesh.
The official broadcasting rights of Asia Cup 2014 have been given to Star India. While PTV Sports will telecast the tournament live in Pakistan, MTV Sports will broadcast it live in Sri Lanka.

Channel 9 has acquired the broadcasting rights in Bangladesh. Viewers can watch the Asia Cup live in Afghanistan on 1 TV. The UK and Europe broadcasting rights have been given to Star TV UK.

Pakistan won the toss and fielded first. When last reports came in , the India score was 48 runs for the loss of one wicket. The Asia Cup is one of the most competitive cricket tournaments in the Asian sub continent. All the matches of the 2014 Asia Cup will be played at Fatullah and Mirpur.
Earlier, there were rumors that Sri Lanka might host the tournament owing to the adverse situations in Bangladesh. However, it is official now that Bangladesh only will host the Asia Cup 2014.
In the opening match of the tournament, defending champions Pakistan will take on Sri Lanka at Fatullah. While the first five matches will be played at Fatullah, the next six, including the final, will be held at Sher-e-Bangla, Mirpur.
India and Pakistan will face each other for the first time in this series on March 2, 2014. It is for the very first time that Afghanistan is playing in such a big cricket tournament and it will be interesting to see how the team performs.
