Malayalam movie Salaam Kashmir review: A blend of action, suspense and comedy

The delay in the release of the movie was owing to certain objections raised by the Indian Army. The movie promises to propagate the sense of patriotism and demonstrate how patriotism could make major changes to a life of a protagonist.

Directed by Joshiy and produced by Mahaa Subair, “Salaam Kashmir” has an impressive star cast, which includes the likes of Suresh Gopi, Mia George, Jayaram, Krishna Kumar, Lalu Alex, Ponnamma Babu and Vijayaraghavan.

Through this movie, Suresh Gopi has made his comeback after two years. The Malayalam action drama film touts some impressive numbers composed by M. Jayachandran. Jayaram has sung a duet song with Shweta Mohan for the Malayalam movie.

The main plot of the military based thriller revolves around the lives of Tomy Eppen and Sreekumar. Sreekumar was leading a blissful life with his wife Mia until the entry of Tomy Eppen, who has a mysterious past and its reverberations on Sreekumar’s present life.

Since the military officials have not granted the NOC to the movie, it had been delayed several times. Produced by Maha Subair under the banner of Varnachithra Release, the movie has some real-life military people and hence, it’s the cause of delay.

Although Joshiy has always catered to movie fans who wish to see some action, this movie, however, focuses on family values. According to movie director, the Malayalam flick is a blend of suspense, emotions, action and comedy.
