In the 2nd Ashes Test being played at Adelaide, at the end of the first days play, Australia batting first, scored 273 runs for the loss of five wickets. The 2nd Test between England vs Australia is being played from Dec 5-9, 2013.
Clarke remained not out at 48 joined by Haddin at 7 at a score of . Both the players will resume battle on Day two of the second test in Adelaide.
When latest reports came on day two, Australia continued their rally and were at 394 for five. Skipper Clarke was unbeaten with a solid 113 runs.

Though Warner made quick 29 runs out of 32 balls, but couldn’t survive long. Joined by Shane Watson, Chris Rogers stayed at the crease and both completed half centuries.
However, the pair was broken just a few minutes after lunch as Watson gave away a fine catch to Anderson. Roger also got out minutes later at a score of 155-3.
Steve Smith who took the crease also couldn’t survive and got out at just 6 runs just before the tea break. Captain Michael Clarke and George Bailey stayed on with Bailey getting life twice at 10 and 23 runs.
Finally after his half century, Bailey got out at 53 giving a smooth catch at the square leg to Swann.
