World T20 championship in Bangladesh next year will see a new entrant together with Afghanistan and Ireland, Nepal. In a match played against Hong Kong in Abu Dhabi on November 27, 2013, the match starts at 3:00 p.m. India time.
Nepal clinched the match at the last ball securing a five-wicket win to pave its way to T20 World championship 2014 to be played in Bangladesh.
In a crucial match played in Abu Dhabi, Nepal chased 144 with a solid start but Hong Kong came out solid at every occasion when Nepal seemed to take the control. The match reached at a crucial point in the last over with Nepal needing 13 runs to win.

Sharad Vesawkar hit the ball for a six followed by an inside edge four through the fine leg. Vesawkar faced the last ball with score levelled and played a stroke through extra to send Nepal to the T20 World Championship in 2014.

Earlier, Nepal sent Hong Kong to bat and bowled and fielded with great strength to curb Hon Kong at 143 for eight wickets. The Nepal’s bowling was spectacular and only a couple of players managed to cross 20 and none went beyond 25.
By defeating Hong Kong, Nepal also reached to the semi final of the qualifying tournament where they will play against Afghanistan. The win against Hong Kong was the biggest moment for Nepal cricket team and they will try their level best to keep the spirit high for the T20 world championship in Bangladesh.
