While South Africa is all set to take on Pakistan in the third ODI of its current series with the Asian nation, CSA and PCB have announced another series between the two countries in less than a month’s time on November 6, 2013.
In later half of November, Pakistan will travel to South Africa and take on the hosts in two T20s and three ODIs.
While the new announcement is sure to take the pressure off both the teams to an extent, it will certainly mean that the batsmen from both the sides, that have somewhat struggled to dominate in the current series, will have to up their game from now on.
The 3rd ODI starts at 4:00 p.m. Pakistan time. See Pak vs SA 3rd ODI live scorecard here
Pakistan’s spinners got the better of South African batsmen that looked a little lost in the series played in UAE.
Proteas batsmen Faf du Plessis, JP Duminy and AB de Villiers still need to get into flowing form since Mohammad Hafeez, Shahid Afridi and Saeed Ajmal have kept them largely contained in the current series. Pakistan’s batting line-up has not looked too comfortable in the UAE either as Umar Akmal and Umar Amin failing to stabilize the middle order.
With batting woes plaguing both the teams, the odds, at least for the South African team, look favorable. They would have the advantage of home condition that would be welcomed by both their batsmen as well as their bowlers. Whether their current form has any significant bearing on their performance in the series that begins shortly from now remains to be seen.
This series is being live telecasted by Ten Sports in India, Pakistan and other Asian countries. PTV Sports will be live streaming the matches live in Paksitan. Watch the live streaming on PTV Sports online here or HERE.
