Akshay Kumar’s latest Hindi movie “Boss” which was released on Eid, Wednesday, has earned Rs 34 crores across the world.
The movie starring Akshay Kumar and Aditi Rao Hyder had earned Rs 14.35 crores and Rs 8 crores on its 1st and 2nd day of release respectively.
Its 3rd day, Friday collections was Rs 6.15 crores. The film has also done good business overseas and collected Rs 5.5 crores in the last three days.
“Boss” was released in around 3000 prints and is carrying a very good word of mouth which will enhance its box office collections further in this weekend.
The movie is running in about 80-85 percent occupancy in multiplexes and single screens across India. It will be interesting to see if the movie surpasses the collections of Akshay’s super hit movie “Rowdy Rathore” directed by Prabhu Dheva.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh revealed the overseas collections of the movie and wrote, “#Boss is phenomenal in UAE-GCC. Tuesday AED 900,000, Wednesday AED 700,000. Total: AED 1,600,000. Total 2.67 crores.”
“UK: Tue £ 40,000, Wed £ 70,000. Total: £ 110,000. Total 1.09 cr.”
As predicted earlier, the movie is unlikely to cross the 100 crore mark in its first week of release. Saturday’s collections is expected to be around 15-18 crores and the same on Sunday. Making a total of around 60-65 crores in its opening week.

Akshay Kumar is at its usual best in the movie giving his 100 percent while Aditi Rao’s bikini scene is the highlight of her appearance in the movie.
The top three worldwide grossers are “Chennai Express” – Rs 422 crores,”3-Idiots – Rs 393 crores and “Ek Tha Tiger” with collections of Rs 319 crores.
