India needs to chase down an (almost) impossible score of 360 runs to win the 2nd ODI against Australia.
The Australian batsman completely exposed the vulnerability of the Indian bowlers yet again as they plundered them to score a mammoth 359 runs for five wickets in their 50 overs in the 2nd ODI being played at Jaipur.
Can they do it? They did !
Australia after winning the toss for the 2nd time in a row chose to bat first in a juicy Australian like track. Their batsman started aggressively right from the beginning.
There top five batsman scored half centuries with great ease and at a tremendous strike rate.
Opener Flinch scored 50 runs off just 53 balls with seven fours and a six while his partner Hughes struck 83 runs off 103 runs, hitting eight boundaries and one huge six.
Then came the local boy from the Rajasthan Royals, Shane Watson. He continued from where he had left from the Champions League and plundered 59 off just 53 balls, hitting the Indian bowlers to six boundaries and four sixes.
The fours and sixes kept raining as skipper Bailey joined the brigade to score 92 off just 50 balls. See the live scores here.
Maxwell was unfortunately run out for 54 runs that he scored from 32 balls. He hit seven fours and one six.
The Indian bowling needs to seriously improve. They gave away 200 plus runs in the only T20 and 300 plus in the 1st ODI and 359 runs in the 2nd ODI.
