Boss movie review and box office collection report

The action and drama movie which is a remake of a Malayalam film “Pokkiri Raja” was directed by Anthony Dsouza.

The advance bookings which started a few days ago have received good response from single screens and multiplexes around the country.

It will be interesting to see if the movie breaks the record of Akshay’s previous hit movie “Rowdy Rathore”.

The story of the movie revolves around Akshay Kumar who plays a kind hearted gangster, known as “Boss” and Mithun Chakraborty plays the role of his father.

Shiv Pandit is in the role of Kumar’s younger brother and Aditi Rao Hydari is his love interest.

The movie has a chance of making it big due to the extended holiday weekend through the word of mouth which will increase the chances of its collections in the weekend.

There is nothing new in the movie, if you have seen “Rowdy Rathore” or “Wanted”, the dialogues, fights and the scenes are almost similar, typical of Prabhu Deva.

Box-office collections report:

Since the movie was released on Eid which is a national holiday, “Boss” is expected to earn around 15 crores on its 1st day at the box-office. But the movie earned Rs 14.5 crores on its 1st day.
