The “SIIMA 2013” brought together the biggest names in the south Indian film industry. With a stage that grabbed so many eyeballs, missing cues and taking false steps was just not an option for stars that performed at the South Indian International Movie Awards in Dubai.
For actress Ragini Dwivedi, who won a critics’ award for her meaty role in the hit Kannada action movie “Shiva”, the night was supposed to be all about bringing her dancing skills to the fore though the night turned out a little different than what the starlet would have planned.
The nightmare began for Ragini Dwivedi on September 15, 2013, when she suffered a rather embarrassing wardrobe malfunction while performing on stage on a Kannada dance number.
The buxom actress had just begun her enthusiastic performance on stage when the very covering red bustier under her lace dress slipped revealing a flimsier, barely there covering.
Surprisingly enough, Ragini did not notice the malfunction and continued with her performance for a few moments until the organizers realized what actually had happened. The lights in the hall were immediately dimmed and the 23-years-old actress was asked to leave the stage.
However, the audience appeared more than sympathetic to the young starlet and Telugu television personality and producer-actress Lakshmi Manchu went backstage to help the Kannada actor regain her composure.
Ragini soon returned to the stage after a wardrobe change, continued her anchoring duties for the big night, and confidently picked up her well-deserved award.
