Canon has unveiled a new flagship model in its XEED projector range, the XEED WUX4000. The WUX4000 is the company’s first XEED projector to feature lens options and motorized lens shift.
Coming with the LCOS panel technology from Canon, the WUX4000 produces faithful colors at 1920×1200 pixels resolution. WUX4000 has a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and a brightness of 4000 lumens. Having a 16:10 aspect ratio, it is ideal for use with current generation PCs and Mac machines.
The most attractive feature of this new device is the three optional lens ranges offered by the company. It can be adjusted to a standard zoom, a long zoom lens or a fixed-focus wide-angle lens. The motorized horizontal and vertical lens shift avoid the image quality deterioration usually caused by manual keystone correction, while repositioning the image.
With operation noises below 36dBA, at its Quiet Mode the WUX4000 will be the most silent projector in your home theatre. For easy maintenance, it allows the flexible replacement of lamp and air filter.
The PJLink protocol used enables it to merge with control systems from different manufacturers without compatibility issues. The remote handset allows the controlling of the projector through four different infra-red channels.
Other important features include 1080p Full HD capacity, DVI and HDMI ports for digital image input. This high resolution projector from Canon is expected to hit the European markets by April 2011.
