Huawei has unveiled a new Android smartphone, the Huawei IDEOS X6. The device, which runs Android 2.2 Froyo, is expected to be launched in January and is likely bound for Asian markets. But a US release is also expected since Huawei devices have recently started to hit US markets with more regularity.
The device comes equipped with a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 512MB of RAM and 2GB ROM. It also sports USB 2.0 support, HDMI connectivity, 720p video recording capability and a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash for crystal clear images.
The IDEOS X6 has a 4.1-inch TFT touchscreen display as well as an integrated FM radio. The GSM handset will also support HSDPA networks for superior mobile data connectivity (with highest speed of 14MB/s), and the phone will also have WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS.
There has been no confirmation on the pricing of the device, but it is expected that the Huawei IDEOS X6 will arrive at the FCC sometime in the very near future.
What do you think about this new device? Will you buy one if it arrives at a store near you?
