Pandigital has unveiled their new Personal eReader in the Pandigital Novel series with a 6 inch ePaper electrophoretic display that provides a resolution of 800X600 and 16-level grayscale display.
Non-reflective display that is a part of this device enables the users to read even under bright lights. The device features integrated Barnes & Noble eBook store which and hence the readers will get a direct access to more than one million eBooks, newspapers and magazines.
It is powered with a lithium-ion battery which is rechargeable through an AC adapter or USB. The battery is promised to deliver a long battery life of up to 6,000 page turns. It supports eBook formats like PDF & EPUB and its touch-screen interface is said to be a unique feature among the eBook readers.
This eReader comes with a built-in in Wi-Fi connectivity and web browser which enables the users to check out the latest news or their favorite website online.
For making notes, emails, and other entries, there is a virtual key-board featured in the device. Engadget says the built-in speaker and stereo-mini headphone jack in this multi functional eReader help the users to enjoy the music in the way they want and the 2GB internal memory allows space for storage of files.
The storage capacity can be expanded up to 32GB by using microSD cards.
It is easy for the users to carry the device as it weighs only 9.1 ounces and its also compact as it measures 4.88″(w) x 6.75″(h) x 0.38″(d). The new Pandigital Novel Personal eReader will be priced at $199.99 which is expected to fluctuate and the device will be hitting the markets during this month.
