Shahrukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Jennifer Lopez to perform at the opening ceremony of IPL 2013

Hindustan Times reported on March 14, 2013 that the next edition of Indian Premiere League has Bollywood superstars Shahrukh Khan, Katrina Kaif, US singer and actress Jennifer Lopez grooving at the opening ceremony which will take place at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata on April 2, 2013.

As per tradition, Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla, who are the co-owners of Kolkata Knight Riders, the champions of IPL 5 will be hosting the ceremony and the first game of IPL 6.

Actress Juhi chawla was quoted telling a national daily that American actor-singer Jennifer Lopez will be joining Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone at the opening ceremony of Indian Premier League 6.

Bollywood Mantra reported that a source revealed that JLo has refused to perform as the money did not excite her enough. IPL Chairman, Rajeev Shukla said that the ceremony of IPL 2013 will be a great spectacular event and they are delighted to have tied up with Red Chillies Entertainment Pvt Ltd.
