Happy birthday in advance, Super Mario Bros! Well, what’s for celebration?  The Mario birthday affair is being given a colorful tint by Nintendo – the Wii has been repainted with a bright red hue. The birth anniversary falls this month, and the red Wii variant will be in stores on November 11.

Oh wait a minute, the new red Wii is only for Japanese customers, and that means the US enthusiasts need not get into celebration mode already!

Sporting red, the new Mario birthday variant of Nintendo Wii  pack also comprises new Wii Remote Plus controllers  that can help in MotionPlus tracking sans any addition.

Being a Super Mario Bros birthday special, the pack will also have a preinstalled copy of the Super Mario Bros. 25th Anniversary Edition. What’s more, the game will have those bricks embellished with the number 25.

So all our readers out there in Japan can now look for ward to November11 for the new red Wii to roll out into stores.  The Mario Red Wii will be available for 20,000 Yen – that would translate as $241, in case you wanted to know.

Who knows, Nintendo could well bring in the Mario Red Wii to US shores too at a later stage, but then permit us to stop short of making an assurance on that.
