Verizon Wireless is the largest carrier in the US, but it doesn’t offer any high-end Nokia Windows Phone 8 device. Things seem to be changing for the carrier now. Latest information reveals that Nokia is working on a flagship smartphone for Verizon and it has been codenamed Laser.
According to The Verge, this will be the Verizon version of the Nokia Lumia 920, which is currently available on AT&T. The Laser will feature similar specs to Lumia 920.
Nokia’s Lumia 920 is a 4.5-inch PureMotion HD+ display device and it sports a1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor.
The 8-megapixel rear camera comes with PureView technology and a Carl Zeiss lens. It has a 1GB of RAM, NFC, 32 GB of internal storage, 4G LTE and wireless charging capabilities along with a 2,000 mAh battery.
Looks like Verizon will be advertising the Laser device as its flagship phone. Though Verizon offers a number of Windows Phone 8 handsets such as the Windows Phone 8X and Lumia 822 but the new Lumia 920 Laser will be the star in the group.
Right now, we are not sure about the price details of Lumia Laser on the Verizon network. Stay tuned.
