Samsung knows what customers actually want. The diverse line of products that take shape in the Korean manufacturer’s labs could be seen as substantiating this fact. The latest one that has added itself to the line of alluring products is the Samsung Galaxy Grand, a new high-end smartphone that targets the youth and executives between the age of 18 and 35.
The Grand S, which has now been unveiled in India, is a top performing dual-SIM smartphone powered by Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system, and runs on a 1.2 GHz dual core processor.
Samsung, known for the extra punch it gives to displays, has accorded the Grand S with a 5 inch screen real estate.
The device, offered in an ergonomic design, is akin to the other high end devices such as the Galaxy S3 and the Note 2, with regard to its multi-window feature. It allows multitasking and running of multiple windows simultaneously on the same screen.
The dual SIM feature promises total communication flexibility by allowing users to manage two different phone numbers from a single mobilephone.
According to a report in The Hindu on January 23, the device will be made available in India and other international markets from February. Asim Warsi the Vice-President of Samsung Mobile, has been quoted as saying that the Galaxy Grand is made for those who prefer a large screen device and a great multimedia experience with superior performance.
Along with various intuitive features the Samsung Grand would be available for purchase with a price tag of Rs 21,500 in India.
