Hyundai Motor India has launched a new renovated version of their popular small car, the i10. India’s second largest car manufacturer has decided to increase their market share as the competition in the small car segment is getting tougher with a lot new models hitting the market. They have decided to utilize the potential of the home market although they are still the largest car exporter of the nation.
The existing version of the i10 currently sells 12000units per month and through the launch of the new version, the company plans to increase the sales to 15000 units.
The car comes out with an updated 1.2 Kappa engine. Depending upon the variants, the price will be Rs.1000-20,000 more than the existing versions.
They have priced the base model D-lite at Rs 349,000 (ex-showroom Delhi) and the top end variant priced at Rs 600,000 comes out with an automatic gearbox and a sunroof. The company has also planned to retain the the lower 1.1 IRDE engine variants which has a price tag between Rs 350,000 and Rs 400,000.
