It’s hard not to be an Angry Bird fan. If you have been waiting for the new version of the game to be released, add one more week to the countdown. Angry Bird developer Rovio has pushed back the launch of Angry Birds Heikki to June 25 without explanation.
The hugely popular Angry Birds game has had a number of sequels including Angry Birds Seasons, Angry Birds Space, and the movie tie-inRio. The next version, Formula 1 tie-in Angry Birds Heikki was supposed to arrive on June 18 and now report from T3.com says the launch of the game is in for one week delay.
Angry Birds Heikki is believed to take the Angry Birds characters and place them into a high speed racing environment. Details of the game has not been revealed yet, but Rovio has teased how the title will focus around F1 racing driver Heikki Kovalainen’s Angry Birds themed helmet that the Finnish racing driver has worn for the duration of the current 2012 F1 season.
The official Angry Birds website states: “Where’s Heikki’s F1 racing helmet gone?! The Angry Birds have a hunch!”
