The sprucing up comes in the form of many other add-ons too. The device that sports a 6-inch E-ink screen as in the case of the predecessor, also gets a new infrared touch-screen control. The keyboard, in the meanwhile, has been dumped.

If you are looking to know what all novelties would the new update bring about, here goes. With the arrival of the version 5.1.0 update, you will get to customize your Kindle Touch with a language choice of yours. Options include English (US andUK), German, French, Spanish, Italian, or Brazilian Portuguese.

Further, the update also allows you to switch between portrait and landscape orientation in books and PDFs. Amazon knows you always had trouble when it meant reading maps, graphs, and tables on portrait mode.

When the update speaks a lot about an international experience, you would want a translate option as a must, right? The provision is yours, via the new version. You will be able to translate whatever you want into other languages.
