Uncomfortable news has invaded Nokia’s US dreams. The phone maker’s premium device – Lumia 900 – has reported bugs, and early buyers are a worried lot. However, we guess the problem persists only in the first batch of the model.
The bug has been tied to data connection getting lost in this Windows Phone, when the cellular link is restarted at any juncture. The bug has also been reported when the phone is in flight mode.
Unlucky customers have for now found consolation in a temporary fix. If you are one of them, you need to boot the phone without a SIM, shut down again and reboot it with a SIM. This would bring the phone back on track. However, many find that the problem occurring again in the due course.
AT&T is aware of the problem. Apparently, the problem lies with the IMEIs, or unique phone identifiers, being improperly registered on the data network. And the carrier is calling back the flawed models.
We suppose this fault is only persistent with a few devices. But in case the problem persists, it will be a big blow for the biggest ever Windows Phone launch and also theUSdreams of Nokia. Are you one of those buyers who have been encountering the bug?
