HTC has announced that they will temporarily shut down the Sense backup services on April 30. The Taiwanese company has posted a message for their customers on HTCsense.com in this regard.
HTC has reminded that this temporary closing down of HTCsense.com cloud backup services is being done as the part of renovating the services. The company plans to launch many new and improved services as part of their latest UI- HTC Sense 4.0.
The HTC users were able to store back up contacts, messages, call history and geo-tagged photos in the large HTCsense.com cloud. However, the company has added that the users’ data will be deleted as the part of the renovation.
They have advised customers to download their data before April 30, as the stored files will not be accessible thereafter. You can get your backup data from HTCSense.com in the form of a zip file by logging in with your HTCSense.com username and password.
By hitting the Download button in the Account Overview section; the zip file will be downloaded on to the PC for easy viewing.
To get more help on the backup services, HTC has also directed customers to download an application from Google Play. Reminding the customers to visit the HTC Customer Service for more assistance, the company has added that they will inform them the renovated HTCsense.com’s launch.
Speculations are there that the new HTCsense.com will be coming with Dropbox that allows 25GB of free storage and services based on the Dashwire’s technology.
