Motorola seems to be busy lining up a new software update for their Xoom Wi-Fi only tablets. So, Xoom Wi-Fi owners you can soon expect a new update. Motorola has started sending emails to select customers for joining their usual soak test of the new update pack. They have asked the Xoom owners to send their feedback on the performance of the beta update pack.
Earlier, the company had released an Android 4.0 update bundle for the Xoom tablet in January. It is speculated that the new update pack comes with Android 4.0.5, even as the latest OS version is rumored to reach the Galaxy Nexus soon. Meanwhile, some believe that the update bundle only features some minor improvements and few bug fixes.
Here is a brief outline of Motorola Xoom Wi-Fi to refresh your memory. The Android 3.1 Honeycomb tablet boasts a 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen with 1280 x 800 pixel resolutions.
Under the hood, the slate carries a 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and optional 16/32/64GB internal storage. It is integrated with two cameras: a 5-megapixel rear snapper with dual LED flash and 2-megapixel front-facing shooter for video conferencing.
