Motorola RAZR Android 2.3.6 Update for Europe Rolls Out

Motorola seems to have different plans, though we are looking for the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update. The company has released the Android 2.3.6 update for the RAZR handsets in Europe.

Earlier, Motorola had promised that the international version of the RAZR will be getting Ice Cream Sandwich updates during the second quarter of 2012. The Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread update is available for the RAZR phones in the UK, Spain, France and Italy.

Along with many new features, bug fixes and performance improvements, the update pack comes with the software version SPU15. The update bundle promises a new user interface in the Settings menu, new Smart Action, automatic synchronizing and uploading of pictures and videos from the mobile to PC.

The new Smart Action features include VIP Caller Mode Action, Calendar Trigger, Wi-Fi connection Trigger, Auto Text SMS, Sounds effects and lot more. In addition to the improvements in battery life, stability and camera, the update features a Google Security patch for the handsets.

To download the Wi-Fi update, go to Settings, select About Phone, press System Updates and select Download. So RAZR users don’t forget to tell us how the new update works in your smartphones.

    just downloaded the update on my moto razr and it took about 10 minutes to download and then 20 minutes to install will keep you updated on performance etc when i have gone through them
