Sony’s latest smartphone – Xperia Neo L MT25i – will be introduced first in the Chinese market. The interesting fact is that the new handset will be powered by the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS.
The Xperia Neo L has already appeared on Sony’s official website in China. The Xperia smartphone sports a 4-inch TFT screen with 854 x 480 pixel resolutions. Under the hood, the handset is equipped with a 1GHz single-core Snapdragon MSM8255 processor, Adreno 205 GPU and 512MB RAM.
It is incorporated with two cameras: a 5-megapixel rear snapper with LED flash and auto focus and a front-facing VGA shooter for video calling. Along with the Timescape UI, the handset supports Bluetooth, WLAN, DLNA, A-GPS and 720p HD video recording.
Other features include pan and zoom WebKit Web browser, dynamic curve design, headphone jack, side buttons and Sony xLOUD audio technology. The handset which will be coming in black and white hues measures 120.0 x 61.0 x 12.8 mm in dimensions.
The Xperia Neo L’s design seems similar to that of the Xperia PLAY. The Neo L comes with four hardware buttons that looks identical to those seen in the Xperia PLAY. Unfortunately, the price and availability of the Xperia Neo L is not revealed as yet.
