Canon is all set to present a wonderful treat for digicam enthusiasts at NAB 2012. The company has started sending out invitations for the event scheduled for April 15. The invitation carries only the words “The story continues” and we think that could mean that the company will unveil something special at the event. Earlier, Canon used the same theme at the Cinema EOS event on November.
Speculations are that Canon will be introducing the Cinema EOS DSLR camera which was earlier been made known by way of leaks. The new Canon camera equipped with a full-frame DSLR body will feature 4K video recording and cinematography-oriented lenses.
The Cinema EOS line of Canon devices is designed to improve the sensor quality and behavior of DSLRs for supporting movie-making capabilities. The new camera will provide the controls and inputs that are required for pro video recording.
Though the Cinema EOS devices cost close to still cameras, they are less expensive than the usual pro video cameras. It is believed that Canon’s Cinema EOS DSLR will directly increase the competition for companies like Red.
Meanwhile, it is also rumored that Canon may introduce a new version of the C300 or a less pricey model at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) show in Las Vegas. Stay tuned to know more about the Canon’s new device.
