Toshiba fans cheer up. The Toshiba Excite 10 LE tablet will reach your hands in just a few days from now. The Android 3.2 Honeycomb slate unveiled back at CES was previously known as Excite X10. Toshiba revealed that the Excite 10 LE will be offered by select US retailers on March 6.
The world’s thinnest and lightest 10-inch tablet will be available at starting prices of $529.99 and $599.99 for the 16GB and 32GB model respectively. The Excite 10 LE sports a 10-inch LED Backlit Gorilla Glass IPS display with 1280 x 800 resolutions and 10-finger multi-touch support.
Under the hood, the slate carries a 1.2 GHz dual-core TI OMAP 4430 processor, 1GB RAM and optional 16/32GB internal memory. It is equipped with dual cameras: a 5-megapixel rear shooter with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing snapper for video calling.
Other features include Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, micro SD card slot, micro USB port, micro HDMI port, 1080p video recording, Stereo speakers from Toshiba and SRS Labs and lot more. A 25 watt-hour rechargeable Li-ion battery backs the 535g device that measures 10.1 x 6.9 x 0.3 inch in dimensions.
Along with the tablet, Toshiba also offers accessories like docking station, multiple cases and many more. Toshiba has also stated that the Excite 10 LE will be getting an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update this spring. Is anyone interested in the ultra-slim, light weight Toshiba Excite 10 LE?
