4G Mobile Phones Shipments to Exceed 1 Million in March

The number of 4G-enabled devices is increasing in rapid pace, thanks to the rise in popularity of the next generation communication networks. As you know, almost all the companies have already introduced their 4G capable handsets in the market. The latest reports say that the 4G mobile phones shipments will go over 1 million in March.

4G Mobile Phones Shipments to Exceed 1 Million in March

The immense increase in shipment numbers will happen as the two major phone makers Samsung and HTC plans to supply more than one million units in March.

It is believed that the shipment number of 4G phones will touch about 5-10 million in the second quarter of 2012.

As the number of 4G handsets increases, it is expected that the suppliers like Qualcomm, Broadcom, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), ASE and Silicon Precision Industries (SPIL) will have a good time by getting huge orders.

Meanwhile, the international chip providers pointed out that in 2012, the telecommunication companies in North America and Europe will be encouraging the 4G smartphones more.

It is reported that Qualcomm and Broadcom have been constantly sending orders to TSMC from the first quarter of 2012 itself.

In addition, ASE and SPIL have also specified that the revenues in the second quarter of 2012 will rise appreciably. Along with this, the companies are giving more focus to promote the 4G mobile phones as to achieve more market share ahead of Apple’s next generation iPhone.
