Sammy fans may go crazy hearing this. Samsung hopes to ship the Galaxy Beam to British shores by this July. The most exceptional thing about the smartphone is its in-built projector, which is not so common in present day devices.
Besides the projector, the Galaxy Beam hosts various features that could lure you into it. The device sports a 4 inch display having a resolution of 800 x 400 pixels. It’s not as bad as it might sound, though contemporary devices feature much better resolution.
As we expected, the Galaxy Beam holds dual camera: a 5 megapixel camera at the rear, and another 1.3 megapixel snapper at the front. So, you can shoot videos or capture images, and can engage in a video chat too. Sounds like a multi purpose handset; right?
The most special thing about the Galaxy Beam is, of course, its projector. It could project images and videos on your device onto a screen, not without a size limit of 50 inches.
Now let’s have a look at the operative part of this device. Samsung Galaxy Beam is designed to work on Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform, and has an internal memory of 8GB. For those who can’t survive with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, the company will release an update soon after releasing the handset.
The Samsung Galaxy Beam is said to carry a price tag of £385. In the UK, the device will be operated with multiple carriers. However, the exact date of release of the device is still unknown.
