Your wait seems to be getting over. Acer Iconia Tab A510 arrived at the FCC, and has won approval for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth facilities. Earlier, Acer had announced that their first quad core tablet, the Iconia Tab A510 would arrive this March. It looks like they are sticking to their promise.
The device is expected to make its debut in Europe, and later on it would move to the US. Now you might remember our earlier reports hinted the arrival of Acer Iconia Tab A510 in Europe. But the date of its arrival in the American market is still unclear.
The document that we got from FCC didn’t reveal much about this fantastic quad core device. But it confirmed the presence of HDMI port, and disclosed that the device would carry a Sanyo BAT1011 battery.
Just to refresh your memory, the Iconia Tab A510 sports a 10.1 inch high definition screen offering a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The device is powered by NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad core processor, which clocks at 1.3 GHz. The device is supported by a system memory of 1 GB RAM, and it features a microSD card slot to transfer data from your memory card.
Further, the device holds dual cameras – a 1.3 megapixel at the front and a 5 megapixel shooter at the rear. And, the tab would be set to run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich platform, which is the latest in Android lineup.
The exact price of the device is out of our reach for the while. But, reports say it would cost around € 399 in Europe. To know the real story, you should wait at least until this March.
