The MOTOACTV Sports Watch has made its debut. The Android Gingerbread-powered watch had impressed everyone at the time of the unveiling. The latest about the smart watch is that the device is found compatible with Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS, which was specially designed for the tablets. With this achievement, the watch has become the world’s smallest Honeycomb tablet.
Chris Wade, the developer who earlier hacked the DingleBerry PlayBook, has successfully ported the Android 3.2 Honeycomb into the watch. After, loading the OS, the sports tracking watch was able to access the Android Market. Additional apps were also downloaded to support Angry Birds on the watch.
MOTOACTV, the Android sports watch comes with a 1.6-inch display. It is equipped with a single-core 600MHz TI OMAP3 processor, 256MB RAM, and 8GB of inbuilt memory. Along with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi 802.11n connectivity, the device features GPS, FM Radio and a lot more.
The 1.8 x 1.8 x 0.38 inch watch weighs just 35 grams. You can find physical buttons for volume control on the side and two on top for navigating. It comes loaded with software features that can check your fitness level like monitoring the heart beat rate. It can also be used to enjoy music via wired or Bluetooth headsets.
